1200 taps, using both buckets and tubing.
We
will be offering free samples,
and products will be for sale.
We
were the 2007 Crawford County Premier Exhibitor winner for best syrup and 2009
Best of Show.
Directions: From Meadville Rt77, go through Blooming Valley, turn right on to
Lyona Road, 1/4 of a mile take right at Y which is Mallard Road, turn left on to
Patterson Road, Last place on left. Sugar House behind house. Watch
for signs.
Local sugarhouses open their doors
to the public on Taste & Tour Weekend. Come and visit with your local Maple
Syrup Producers and see "How Its Done". See first hand the process of tapping
the maple tree, collecting sap, and boiling it down to make delicious syrup.
Many maple sugar makers produce additional confections from their syrup. Most
have free sample available, as well as product for sale.
Come, bring the family, and join us for an
exciting journey into our maple heritage.
